RBENCH

Abacus was an early user of ART on several projects including EXCABL, EXDCP, and NATLAN.  To ensure appropriate usage on these and future projects, we conducted a benchmark study, RBENCH, to investigate effects on speed and memory usage as a function of number of rules, rule complexity, ART schema usage, etc.  Knowledge of these tradeoffs was used to make design and coding decisions in the development of ART-based tools.
